"Something Different"
As you probably know I am getting ready for my upcoming holiday shows "Tell Me About The Good Ole Days"Nov. 5th&6th and "Chateau de Fleurs Vintage Marketplace" Dec. 3rd&4th. Every year I try to come up with some different ideas for christmas ornaments because I get bored with the same so easily, so here are a couple new ones for this years shows. They are petite notebooks 2 1/2"x3"and petite rose canvas's on small easels 3"x3".They were al lot of fun to do.Christie

A Week Of Friends Fun and Relaxation!!!
This week I am designating to friends, fun and relaxation. Today I have 4 friends coming down from Laguna Beach to visit and go to lunch at the Garden Cafe'. It's a great way to start my week off! Who knows what will happen or not happen during the middle of the week, but at the end of the week on Friday, I'm excited for another country sale at "Matilda's Mouse" and then Saturday a girls field-trip down to the "Attic" in Coronado Island and then to "Vignettes" for their open house in Ocean Beach. Lots of fun with friends and exciting treasure hunting!I can't wait to get started!!!!!!!!Friday, October 1, 2010
Fall Inspiration For "Glitterfest" Romantic French Farmhouse!

I've only had about a week to work on my booth for glitterfest. My main inspiration came from an old french needlepoint rug I obtained out estate sale shopping with the Sweet Magnolia Farm girls a few months back. The colors in the rug are what I drew from to form a romantic french farmhouse feel, it also allowed me to bring in some of my other alternate art. I gave myself a $150.00 budget to go antique shopping for accessories to use for ambiance and to display my art. I had so much fun , I found an old suitcase, a rustic stepladder, a small birdcage, a variety of baskets, old lace, books and a really awesome old drawer with a vintage pull handle. I glammed up some silver with vintage rhinestones and hand-painted a couple more chalkboards.I found all the straw, twigs and branches in my yard. I'm almost ready for the adventure! Please enjoy my sneak-peek and then I'm packing up the car!
